Capital University
Construction Resources is the Building Exterior Consulting Firm for Capital University and has been for the past several years. We have analyzed and designed multiple exterior repair projects for summer semester contractor projects. Battelle Hall was an example of CRI's depth of knowledge when we discovered the building had a post-tension concrete plank structural roof deck for the main roof area. This deck type caused the need to design a roof system upside-down so that no fasteners would be needed to attach the roof to the deck, which can be permanently damaged if fasteners break a cable. Given the low flashing height of the HVAC units, an upside-down roof also solved the flashing problem on the roof. The project was a success for the University, and CRI continues to design exterior repairs for other campus buildings.
